Ordination and Installation on July 7th weekend.
As you know we are celebrating the ordination and installation of Conner Forbes on Sunday July 7th at 4 pm. This is a rare opportunity to see a pastor ordained into the Lutheran Church. We are canceling the Sunday morning 8 am service that day and will just have a 10 am service. We will offer babysitting during the service for those coming with kids. We are asking people to respond for the garden party/dinner after. The dinner will be both inside and outside and of course is weather dependent. Welcome Gift/Housewarming for the Forbes Family
We also want to give everyone a chance to welcome the Forbes family. Some of you were not able to give time to help get the house ready but expressed a desire to contribute.
As you know they are coming straight from college life and we want to help them settle into their new home. To do this we are giving an opportunity for you to make a “glad you are here” gift.
There is a registry of things you can buy that they selected and there is also a furniture fund you could give a cash gift to so they can purchase a couch and beds etc. Grocery gift cards would also be appreciated. Any gifts can be brought to the church on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday June 29/30th and we ask that all cash gifts be given by June 30th.
