Prelude – “I Know that My Redeemer Lives”

Welcome and Invocation

Easter Acclamation/Opening Hymn

1 Jesus Christ is ris’n today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!

2 Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heav’nly king, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!

3 But the pains which He endured, Alleluia!
Our salvation have procured; Alleluia!
Now above the sky He’s king, Alleluia!
Where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!

4 Sing we to our God above, Alleluia!
Praise eternal as His love; Alleluia!
Praise Him, all ye heav’nly host, Alleluia!
Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Alleluia!

Holy Gospel: Matthew 28

Anthem: “Jesus is Alive!”

Kings Kid’s Choir (Recorded Last Year)

Sermon – “Because He Lives, I Can Face Tomorrow”

Song: Because He Lives

Verse 1
God sent His son, they called Him Jesus,
He came to love, heal and forgive,
He bled and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone,
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living, just because He lives!

Verse 2
How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives,
But greater still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days, because Christ lives!

Verse 3
And then one day, I’ll cross that river,
I’ll fight life’s final war with pain,
And then, as death gives way to victory,
I’ll see the lights of glory and I’ll know He reigns!

Response to the Message: Remembrance of Baptism

L Christ is risen!
C He is risen, indeed! Alleluia!
L As we celebrate Easter, we should remember something very important: We have been baptized into Jesus Christ.
C When we were baptized, we were joined with Jesus so that His death
counted as our death. Because of this, His death on the cross forgives
us of all of our sins, and we are set free.

L And on Easter Sunday, Jesus rose from the dead! He lives! And our Baptism means we live with Him!
C The Lord of Life, who defeated death, is with us, and we are His

L So let’s remember our Baptism now.

Everyone should now dip their hand into the water and make the sign of the cross as the Leader says the next line.

L We are baptized in the name of the Father, and of the T Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
C Amen
L Repeat after me: I am a Baptized Child of the King.
C I am a Baptized Child of the King.
L Because I am His child, the King blesses me with all I need.
C Because I am His child, the King blesses me with all I need.
L I don’t have to be afraid, because the King loves me, died, and rose for me.
C I don’t have to be afraid, because the King loves me, died, and rose for me.
L Amen. Christ is risen!
C He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Hymn: Alleluia! Jesus is Risen

1 Alleluia!
Jesus is risen!
Trumpets resounding in glorious light!
Splendor, the Lamb,
Heaven forever!
Oh, what a miracle God has in sight! Refrain

Refrain: Jesus is risen and we shall arise:
Give God the glory! Alleluia!

2 Walking the way,
Christ in the center
Telling the story to open our eyes;
Breaking our bread,
Giving us glory:
Jesus our blessing, our constant surprise. Refrain

4 Weeping, be gone;
Sorrow, be silent:
Death put asunder, and Easter is bright.
Cherubim sing:
“O grave, be open!”
Clothe us in wonder, adorn us in light. Refrain

5 City of God,
Easter forever,
Golden Jerusalem, Jesus the Lamb,
River of life,
Saints and archangels,
Sing with creation to God the I AM! Refrain
